This Memorial Day Weekend, May 27-28th, spend your time enjoying the festivities at our Two-Day Community Expo, overflowing with family-friendly activities, live bands, raffles, kids races, a toddler trot, delicious food, and fun for all. The course features spectacular, scenic views of the Saddleback Valley, and runs through the cities of Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Laguna Niguel, and Aliso Viejo. Proceeds benefit Saddleback Memorial Medical Center – help them raise funds to fight heart disease and save lives! Saddleback Memorial Medical Center is a non-profit community based hospital.
RACE DESCRIPTION
The 13.1-mile point-to-point course features spectacular, scenic views of the Saddleback Valley and Aliso and Wood Canyon Park, while running through the cities of Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Laguna Niguel, and Aliso Viejo. Scenic and challenging, the paved course begins on Calle de la Louisa between the Saddleback Memorial Medical Center and the Simon Laguna Hills Mall and finishes at the spectacular Laguna Hills Community Center. There is a 2100 participant limit and a 3.5-hour time limit on the race. Please note the course is narrow in parts and NO BABY JOGGERS OR STROLLERS ARE ALLOWED for all participants’ safety.
Half Marathon Awards
Award BackPackSpecial Saddleback Memorial Commemorative Nylon Drawstring bags will be presented three-deep in all age divisions in the 5K and Half Marathon. The first place male and female age group winners also receive $25 SIMON Laguna Hills Mall Gift Cards. All Half Marathon and 5K finishers receive a medal.
Participants will use ChampionChip® timing system.
Aid stations are approximately every 1.5 miles along the course and include Arrowhead Mountain Spring Water and Gookinaid Hydralyte, electrolyte replacement beverage.
